Overseas Programs

New Zealand Study Tour: All JHS 3rd grade students

In New Zealand, students will experience school life at our sister school, Rangitoto College, enjoy a homestay with students from Rangitoto College, and a farmstay in a rich natural environment. The students will communicate with each other in English, understand the differences between their cultures and values, and find the good in each other. By using their English ability and experiencing different cultures, students will not only grow mentally, but will also have an opportunity to think about their future career paths.

Asia Research Trip: All SHS 2nd grade students

Students choose from five different courses in Australia, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Okinawa for a 6-day research trip. In the three Asian countries, participants will experience homestays and cultural exchange with local schools, where they will meet other high school students who are also studying English. In Okinawa, students will learn about the sea and peace through overnight stays and interactions with local people. After the trip, each student will write a “travelogue” and an “exploration report” and present their findings at a presentation.

Language Program in Victoria, Canada (for applicants)

Participants will stay with a host family in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, and participate in a variety of activities at inlingua, a language school in downtown Victoria, including interacting with local students.

San Diego, U.S.A. Language Program (for applicants)

During the program in San Diego, USA, students will have the opportunity to work with local students in a variety of group activities to improve their English communication skills. While staying with a host family, students will commute to the campus of the local university where the program is held and participate in it.

Study Abroad Programs

Long-term Study Abroad Program Applicants

Applicants choose their study abroad destination and study abroad provider. In most cases, students attend a local high school while staying with a local family. If students are diligent in their studies, they can earn credits at the local school and return to their grade at Zushi Kaisei without issue after returning home.

New Zealand Short-Term Study Abroad Applicant

We offer an exchange program with our sister school, Rangitoto College, which students visit in the third year of junior high school, as well as a study abroad program at Wanganui Public High School. In both cases, students spend three months from May to July studying at their respective high school while staying with a host family.
