When I arrived at Los Angeles Airport, I found that the air was dry. Then, the sun was nearby the top, so the temperature was about 25, however, I felt cool. For a few times after, I was surprised at amount of the cars' traffic. I saw 3 cars that is running opposite traffic lanes every seconds. In addition, I was amazed that there were more than 8 traffic lanes.

We went to Hollywood. There were a lot of people. For instance, Asian, European, American and the others. We watched Chinese Theater. In there, there were famous person's handprint and footprint and sign such as Johnny Deps.(高一 Kくん)

For the past two days at Claremont College, we participated in "EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM" in the morning and "Drucker for Future Japanese Leaders(DFJL)" in the afternoon. Both of these program gave me a lot of superb and completely new viewpoints. I'll write a little impressions about each programs.

"EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM"

This program aims at making us have more flexible ideas and change our way of thinking. Through this program, I strongly recognized my progress in thinking process. For instance, we discussed the problem of toothpaste and made a presentation about unique toothpastes which solved the problems of them.

"Drucker for Future Japanese Leaders"

Through this institute, we learned the strategies to success by using five questions, "What is my mission?"
"Who is my customer?" etc. These strategies can be applied to many other kinds of events in life and are also useful to manage the organizations.

I think that both of these programs will teach us something essential in life. I hope that the rest of my days in LA will teach me more about the tools to make my future brighter.(高2 Yくん)

【L.A. Kitchen】

http://www.lakitchen.org/

【UCLA】

http://www.ucla.edu/

Yesterday, we went to L.A. kitchen, UCLA, and farmer's market.
We had a lot of experiences through these activities. So then We'll show you our memories.

''L.A. kitchen''

Mr.Robbert, who made this company, explained his goal and motto.
He was shocked by American food waste and problem of poverty. Then he came up with a new idea which give jobs to poor people and play a role as foodbank.
We are impressed with his enthusiasm.

''UCLA''

UCLA has a lot of people and many huge buildings. We are introduced by one of the students of UCLA. We walked around north campus. North campus has buildings for students studying psychology, archaeology, and so on.
After the tour, we went to shopping in the UCLA store. It's very fantastic, but tired.

''Farmer's market''

We were in farmer's market in short time.
There are a lot of graceful shops and people. When we were looking for a restaurant to have a dinner, I asked visiters to take a movie. I was confused but I did. It's very hard to find but finally We went to Italian restaurant. It was extremely delicious for us because of simple meals we had eaten since we came to America.

It was very good day for us!【高1 Sくん&Fくん】
